There is something perverse about staring blankly at the video screen in the seat back in front of you at a cartoon representation of the window, seascape and horizon of the actual window not one half Metre to one's right. So passes the wee hours.
Of course, there is a wide selection of movies, TV shows, games and music; However, at this time of the day or night, one's body is crying out for sleep and it is senseless to get into another movie because that will just keep you awake. The obvious(?) choice is to allow the default setting play and that is the trip graphic which shows you where you should be. It should then be possible to grab some intermittent shuteye BUT the graphics are mesmerising and only serve to keep you fixated and awake.
Finally landing at LAX, it seemed to take hours for the big jet to taxi over to Terminal 2; Then, once docked, it took even more time for the doors to be opened and for the passengers to disembark.
